They are blue when "dry" and turn purple when "full." According to the Q&A they can be recharged in the oven. A couple hours at 275 degrees, though there are varying answers on this.
I use these for my workout headphones (bluetooth). I sweat a lot and keeping them in a bag along with these helps prolong their life.
