Actually, they won't do that, but once they release Windoze 11, they'll force user to upgrade or pay a fee for "continuing maintenance and security updates." They've already announced it.
Well, yes, that's the other shoe dropping. Which doesn't necessarily bug me. If you want a new system, seems like paying for it is not a horrible proposition. People could use one of the free in cost Linux distros if they don't want to ever pay.
True, but most other OS' don't stop offering free security updates to the last major version released. Apple is still offering free security updates for Mountain Lion.
