The wife texted me today that my 2006 iMac is frozen and won't go past the grey startup screen. Oops. That was her main computer. So later, she went to my computer and did some work in it. Then went back an hour later, and it was frozen - spinning beach ball!
When I stopped home for something else, I needed to do some work related stuff on the computer. Gahhh! Spinning beach ball! I force shut down the computer. Unplugged power. Replugged power, started up.... And welcome to 10.7? My SSD with 10.9 is not even recognizable. Gahhhh!!!
Spoke with our sponsors who were very accommodating. I will try a few tricks, but they seem ready to replace it if needed. Great service!
Sucks that I don't have a 'puter in the house for the next several days. This is from my work computer 20 min away. Not sure what to do about the 2006 iMac. Still have to look at it...
Time machine was my backup.
