help me with my nectarines!

For the first year in a while, I have a ton of nectarines starting on my tree. But every year, the tree will get decimated by insects, starting just about... now. Last year was a dud, as has been pretty much every year of the last three when I planted them, but the tree is of sufficient size now that it may hold. out.

What would you garden type folks use to spray the tree? Or, if there are other methods you would use, please suggest.

I am excited, but cautious that i may actually get some fruit this year.
