FOUND: Looking for obsolete (to you) medium size camera for granny to take family photos
#3
Film or digital? May sound like a dumb quesiton, but asking to make sure that using a digital camera and having to hook it up to a computer to download photos isn't a barrier. And it's a lot easier to find a film camera that has the features you describe, especially a decent sized viewfinder, unless you go for an SLR in digital.

Somewhere we've got a really old, early, simple, probably well under 2 megapixel, point and shoot that my father passed on to us. Don't think it even had a zoom. Would something that basic work? I imagine photo quality is marginal. But the shape is what you are looking for. The other old digital cameras we have are Canon Elph-sized, which is pretty small, with tiny viewfinders.
