Self tying sneakers and hoverboards

re: self tying sneakers... seems like an overly complicated solution to a simple problem. My son (and now my wife) have been using a lacing system that works really well and doesn't require motors. The laces are like small bungee cords, and there's a plastic lock and clip system to keep them in place. They're called Nathan Lock Laces. They sell for like $8/pair.
