It may be valuable, but that ring is butt ugly.
I agree 100%.
A friend of mine had a party and one of her friends was trying to be helpful by clearing off the cups and trash that had accumulated on various tables. Unfortunately while pushing trash off a small table into the garbage bag, she also pushed the host's engagement ring and wedding ring (which my friend had removed because her band was playing for the party) in there.
The next day my friend realized her rings were gone. This was an enormous party and there were maybe ten+ big green garbage bags in the kitchen filled with beer containers and garbage and trash. My friend sat on her kitchen floor crying and dumping one bag after another onto the floor and going through the mess as carefully as she could. I am happy to say she did find her rings. While nowhere close to being as big (and ugly) as the one in the OP, her engagement ring was a sapphire with two diamonds and aside from the enormous sentimental value, it was not inexpensive.
