Speed of internet connection (Comcast)

Trying to determine if I call Comcast and ask them to lower my rate. Currently 42.95/mo, what I should say.

I did a test of my current connection and get 6557 kbps Download speed, and 354 kbps upload speed.

Does the 6557 compare to what some people get of 6mbit

The site I tested and got 6557 was http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

but another site
http://www.bandwidthplace.com/
gave me 1.8 megabits per second.

So which do I belevie. The 6557 site had a Local Los Angeles link to hit.
