Good for you, cbelt! I was also attracted to Libertarianism when I was younger. but have come to similar conclusions as you.
Besides, I think "Lbertarianism" has become as refuge for "keep your grubby government hands off me and my money, but keep that Social Security and Medicare comin" types.
It's also very favorable to corporations who'd like to do away with agencies like the FDA, EPA, OSHA, etc.
