Excuse me but our collective guilt over allowing Hitler to amass the power to engulf the world in war should not be used as an excuse to allow other people to be oppressed.
As regards Israel, didn't someone already live there before a world body decided to set aside some land for displaced persons and to resettle them? Was this not a gesture that didn't entail any sacrifice on the behalf of the signatories to the agreement?
Did the people living there have an option to accept the agreement struck by others?
Did this decision not displace people who previously resided there?
Were they fairly compensated for the taking of their land and property?
Are they fairly compensated today?
Should they be?
