It always makes me suspicious in instances like these where someone doesn't understand something and they knee jerk towards taking it as sinister-malicious-nasty-..these kinds of responses are dangerous and reek of people who can't accept the "different" and are fearful of it...
Speaking in my capacity as a professional editor, I understand Kraniac's objection completely, and do not feel that his concerns are unhealthy at all -- the distinction between light censorship and editorial destruction can be a fine one. Although I might disagree with the admin's editing suggestions, they were at least offered in a polite and civilized fashion.
On the other hand, telling Kraniac he has too much time on his hands or is unhealthy in his concerns, is getting awfully close to trying to pick a fight.
