(Brunt is played by Jeffrey Combs, who's played a number of characters, human and non-human, on various Trek outings. There was a joke rolling around the Star Trek subreddit some time back that, in the upcoming STAR TREK DISCOVERY series, he would play every character.)
I LOATHED the whole idea of the Ferengi at the start of DS9... hated them as poorly conceived, poorly fleshed out, and poorly acted (in season 1)....
Boy, did Armin Shimmerman, and all the other actors that played Ferengi, and the writers and directors, do a great job in turning that around!
And I would start a campaign right NOW to have Jeffrey Combs made a regular, or at least a recurring character, on ST: Discovery.
