I keep waiting for someone to point out that while she may have been a government employee, she was only in a law making capacity for eight years (senate 01-09), and Sec of State for 4 years -- thats 12 years, less than half of 30. Being FLOTUS may give some clout, but it is largely ceremonial.

Then even as a Senator, she was one of 100, and was never in the majority party during her term.

One person doesn't rule everything.
