NYState Attorney General: "Spectrum-Time Warner Cable has been ripping you off"

Spectrum charged existing TWC customers a new hookup fee when it took over in Florida. Luckily it got noticed on bills and Spectrum says it will reverse the fee for anyone who asks.

Gee, that is so nice of them.

Spectrum (aka Charter cable), took over for Brighthouse here in Central Florida, who had taken over TWC about 10 years ago. We didn't get charged any fee.

I've been pretty happy with the speeds I get ever since Brighthouse took over. For the last several years, I've had their "Lightning" plan, which started at 50Mbps, and has slowly gone up to 100Mbps. I usually top out at about 110Mbs, at least according to iStat. Nothing seems to have changed since it went to Spectrum.
