Here's my first update:
I was able to upload about 8GB of music to the tablet. At first I had some issues, but it was the cable. Once I switched it, the transfer went ok. You have to download an app called "Android File Transfer" for the tablet to show up in a window on your Mac. It gives the option to load right to either the tablet or the SD card.
Right now, I'm using the Google Play Music app to view/play the music. It didn't look too bad, but then I updated the app. Big mistake. It is less user friendly than the version it had come with. But there's a ton of other apps you can use. To unlock extra features, you gotta pay. A couple looked good and cost about $4.
I haven't hooked it to my speakers yet, but it sounds ok through headphones. I'll start a new thread after I've played with it for a while.
