I owned several . Brownings, Cobras. Unidens .Midland. Lafayette. Mods for illegal channel expansion. Enjoyed setting them up and getting good matches and output power. Not so much actually using them. Never got a license nor a "handle" back when you needed them. Did have a ham license for a bit as anyone who got a FCC license with a endorsement pretty much did for legal and insurance purposes. And because everyone who had radios had radios you weren't supposed to have. Still have a Ranger 2970 NIB. lol for those that really wanted to be heard a little further down the road and not be bothered by all the kids chatter on CB. Might even find a linear in the garage.
