I'd love to go agin but me wife isn't too keen on the long flight. But me mate might like to go. We enjoyed it last year and many Austrailians speak a form of understandable English which is nice.
These fares are about the same as last year but there are a lot more airports this year. I suggest Sydney if you go during the northern hemisphere's summer as it can be around 55 in Melbourne in their winter whereas Sydney gets closer to 70. You'll have heat in your hotel room but most restaurants, etc. do not have heat and they don't have the good sense to close their doors as night settles in and it gets cooler. If you don't go now, you never will.
