The kid bought a 24" 4K monitor. Looks great, higher res than the 1080P 24" monitor it replaced.

I bought a 4K 40" TV that looks good, but a TV only makes for a so-so monitor. My old 2560x1600p monitor looks better. I love the extra pixels though.
