Where to buy guitar strings?

I read somewhere they are made by SIT, but who knows. They've changed the coating several times, and they have a new one coming out called optiweb that sounds interesting. I generally like D'addarios, but had some coated D'addario bass strings, and they were rubbery and sticky. During a gig I burned my finger on them, so they're gone ;-) DR's flake if you use a pick, so I'm not a fan. Btw, I think it does say the coating is made by Gore. Gor-tex is quite a good product, so that doesn't bug me. To some extent I think a string is a string, although I know few agree. kj.
