I'm wondering how the following situation would be handled.
Just before June 30 take a soon to be Vintage Mac to the Apple store and pay for a repair. The repaired product should have a 90 day warranty on the repaired parts.
What happens if it fails during those 90 days after June 30th? Will they repair it even though they say no repairs are possible? Will they replace it because they're unable to honor their warranty on the original repair?
I'm also curious to see what they do a year from now with the Mid 2012 MBPs. That 13" model was still manufactured and sold until 2016, and refurbs were sold in 2017. Will they treat the 15" and 13" differently?
