My wife’s AT&T SIM worked in her new prepaid phone for 2 days then stopped working until I sent that email.
When the restriction first t happened, my wife went to an AT&T store who had no idea what was wrong. We purchased it from Best Buy.
When I sent the email, we received the text then next day and the SIM card worked again.
