Ugh, yet another iOS update/restore problem

Carm, that's exactly what I don't want to do. I don't want to be beholden to Apple or any other online cloud provider for my music -- it is mine, and I don't want them having access to it. I also want to be able to access it wherever, even if there's no internet connection wherever I happen to be.
