$1499! Our 2011 iMac is failing so this might just be the way to go rather than a $1k Craigslist machine. My wife needs it to do her homework (she teaches Spanish) so I think she can get by just fine on the limited RAM and the smaller Fusion drive.
Edit: I just bought it and a $45 TB3 to TB2 adapter to connect to our existing TB2 hub. I wonder why Apple includes a USB to Lightning cable with new iMacs...
This replaces her 2011 27" 3.4 quad i7 with 32 gigs of RAM, a 256 GB SSD (Sandisk 840 Pro) and 1TB HD. The old iMac served her well and she would have been happy to keep using it for many years had she not started to see screen artifacts and freezes beginning three days ago. Failure is imminent.
