Do tell.

I agree, do tell... wheres the rest of the story...

For us, Amazon is all about inventory. Ive told the story before about needing a brush for my vacuum. Local vacuum place wanted $125 for the part, and a week to get it. Got it in 2 days from amazon, $36. No way it would be available at an local store. And there a million other things like that.

Oldest wants a BT speaker for birthday. Amazon has hundreds to choose from, in dozens of colors and dozens of price points. Locally, best buy might have a dozen styles, prob in one color.

Wife needs some specific something for her face, shes used it for years... ulta used carry it, it was the last brick and mortar place she could find it. Now gone. Both instore and online. Got it from Amazon.

Cost is sometimes a secondary factor, like things at Costco. Most of the time its better, sometimes not.

fwiw: top 100 retailers: https://stores.org/stores-top-retailers-2018/

They also benefit from retail’s measured pace of change: Merchandise moving through ecommerce accounted for only 9 percent of total U.S. retail sales entering 2018, according to U.S. Department of Commerce figures.
