A large corporation: no problem if they are honest, pay decent wages.
Headquartered in a poor state: maybe they help the local economy with new jobs, pay taxes, etc. Do you think the local economy would be better without Walmart?
The real problem is their business practices: pay low wages, poor benefits, drive competition out of business, and squeeze suppliers to the last penny.
