Well, the first migration didn't go as well as expected, and the drive won't boot - it's in an endless startup loop. A "Sorry" notification at the end of the migration sequence this AM listed way too many files that didn't migrate, so it's very possible a few necessary files were left out of the migration.

… back to step one again.

It may be necessary to do a clone rather than deal with the Migration Assistant and TM. But that will take another day.
