There isn't always a quick answer. The purpose of an ER is not to fully work up a problem for diagnosis, but rather to determine "Does this patient need to be admitted, yes or no?" (That's why those who use the ER to get primary care are doing themselves a disservice.)

You did exactly the right thing by calling 911 (never hesitate to do so) and should do so again if symptom recur, but follow-up with primary care and with neurologist is for a targeted work-up and appropriate ongoing treatment is the vitally important next step.
