Stupid Finder Tricks: Okay, how do I do this?
#13
Glad you solved your issue.
For future reference, along with with its graphic editing and converting tools, GraphicConverter also has some quite useful file management tools. The "Copy" function will copy "every" (many graphics file types, including some obscure ones) graphics file from a folder, series of folders, or an entire disk to a new folder. You can choose to retain the existing folder structure or put them all in a single folder, and you can choose to delete the originals after they are copied. It also can append the name of the previously enclosing folder to the file name. GraphicConverter also has some useful renaming functions, including change to upper/lowercase, adding extensions to files that don't have them, add dates or numbers to file names, etc. Several of these functions are not limited to graphics files. The Slideshow mode is useful for going through big piles of graphics files, as you can rename, rotate, or delete on the fly. You can create saveable batch functions, and GraphicConverter also supports AppleScript allowing you to access many of the GraphicConverter options with an AppleScript.
I've been using several of these tools for +/- 20 years.
