While some Hunter constituents are second-guessing their support, others told The San Diego Union-Tribune they were certain to vote for him in November regardless of the criminal charges.
Once again, this "family values" schtick is really a sham on both sides of the GOP candidate-voter equation.

He'll be reelected in a landslide.
Unfortunately, this is likely to be the case. Some voters in that rural and dark red district have never voted for anyone who was not named Duncan Hunter… The opponent has a good message, and he's closed the gap to about 7 or 8 points, but with any trial likely to be pushed until after the election, he'll need more than these allegations to close the rest of the gap. Hunter is probably not a crook, but he is certainly felony stupid. His wife just came along for the ride.
There are several interesting threads in this case which will end up coming out if it goes to trial:
1) Wife's free-spending ways;
2) Duncan's dalliances; and
3) Duncan's multiple dismissals of his accounting staff's pleas to take the Pcard away from his wife.
There are also some interesting actors which may end up having to testify - several congresscroooks, and a host of other political toadies and stooges.
Might even be worth taking the trolley downtown to watch this circus live - if it happens!
