I steer away from buffets these days. People are just too weird when it comes to acting out in public.
I witnessed fairly crude behavior at a Chinese buffet many years ago. I observed a guy walking back to his table with the WHOLE PAN (in fact, the only pan) of potstickers that were just placed in the buffet area. He had one other person at the table with him. People were justifiably angry, as you could hear comments through out the restaurant. There was potential for conflict, but no one challenged him. You could see him smiling all the way back to his table, and the manager did nothing.
