So yeah don't talk to me about paying off the house, "retiring nicely" or sending your loser grandkids to college. I ain't hearin' it.
My trouble is that over the years I've had way too many hobbies, any one of which could instantly soak up a random windfall.
I'll start us off, by throwing a dart at one of my evergreen (and certainly terminally moribund) ones:
I'll luxuriantly explore every vintage Lansing speaker, pre-'80s. JB or Altec. I'll play with the Paragons, the VOOT / Valencias / Barcelonas and more. Consumer (home) models and commercial, I'll consider them all. Why don't we toss in several vintage Tannoy and such, also? Will we be looking at vintage Western Electric and others? Of course.
Of course I'll want to first refurb one or more of the barns here firstly, for a proper party venue. And there will of course be ancillary gear to go along with them. Source material should naturally all be from vintage Ampex tape machines playing the master tapes of course. Will I require Studers and BTR's? Yes. And proper tube supplies of course.
