Think about it--where is the biggest bang for a buck in using ARM instead of Intel?
It has to be laptops--much lower power consumption, typically less need for the very highest level of performance.
Prediction: We'll see ARM laptops in 2021, and they will include cellular connectivity, and amazing battery life.
Prediction: Much more emphasis on software that uses multiple cores
Prediction: At least the Mac Pro, and possibly the iMac Pro and iMac and Mac Mini, will continue Intel for at least a year, maybe 3, after the ARM MacBooks come out.
Prediction: There will be an Intel-compatible OS for perhaps 6 to 7 years after the ARM MacBooks come out.
