It can be risky to assume people are smart and caring. Evidence either way helps, yeah? I merely noted how I could see the wheels of confusion turning with only a few sentences he said. If his statements result in harmony for you, or it's some kind of non sequitur, that's curious.
As for "knowing him," I already said I wanted to know how he felt about Trump's visit. The NPR article predates it.
As for the stress, I guess Tito more easily sorted that out. He's certainly happy standing next to Trump in the photo op. He was back to work in the shop next day after his brother died, "bills had to be paid" and so on. He even said his macho culture allowed the women at home to do the crying. Sounds pretty well buttoned up for him.
