I was wondering the same thing just the other day. Despite his fascination with what I consider to be the ugliest generation of Nissan Z-cars (ah youth... my first car crush was a purple '66 Pontiac Bonneville), he had the makings of a true car guy and I'm always happy to see more of those/us around.
I had lunch with him several years ago when the company he had been working for in college in Colorado got bought by a larger company and relocated to the SF Bay Area. His plan at that time was to take a year off from college and work for them in the Bay Area. I assume / hope that he did go back and complete college and is now working somewhere in the tech industry.
