I think back in the day (90's) - full new albums were about $10-12 (I usually bought 12 inch singles or used or promo versions).

I went to an estate sale recently that had the vinyl LP's priced at $25 each. "Good luck with that," walked out.
Check out used prices at used bookstores/collectibles stores. They run about $30! Not for special or collectible records, just stuff they found/picked up etc. You could gotten these for a $1 at a garage sale in the 90s!
