Other than its massive heft, I've been pleased as punch w/ our 12.9", last of the 2017's, which was made (and purchased) in Dec 2018. We got a great deal on it at the time ($630) for a 256/LTE, so even w/ the lowered prices, and refurbs coming online, and alleged newer models on the horizon, the flexing issues are still there, as are the inflated prices. Maybe if the triple camera setup is added, they'll stiffen up the case. Our older, stiffer model is something like 2-1/2 ounces heavier than the new style. You can get a kick-butt MBA, or decent MBP for the price of a top shelf iPad. Scary.
