Good not to have these end up in a landfill; even better if their lives can be prolonged through protecting other children.
Many/most charities and donation sites refuse baby car seats. Too much liability. Trade-in the car seat at Walmart to be recycled for the $30 GC and donate the card to a struggling family if you wish. Way easier. Same warm and fuzzy feeling.
