It’s exciting, I just wish isn’t wasn’t Amazon building the ecosystem. Apple’s HomeKit is hit or miss, and falling behind.
My wife is disabled. I’d spend a lot of money on interconnected home automation devices: lights, hvac, video doorbell, microwave, bathroom sink, roomba, window shades. But it has to work and it can’t need replacing in five years, not if I’m spending thousands of dollars on it.
