Still "smells" like a proxy problem or other network-setting.
Try creating a new Network Location from the Location menu at the top of the Network settings. (Might need to first unlock the pref pane using the lock-icon on the lower-left and will need to click the "Apply" button on the lower-right after making the new location in order to apply the change.)
The new location should have "clean" network settings and pick up everything that it needs via DHCP.
