Something like that would do it. If it were me, I'd buy a nice Freud or Makita, similar to this one I bought for my miter saw: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MQ...le?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You might be fine with the stock blade, but they tend to make rough cuts, which then would call for additional sanding, etc.
Also, be aware that most doors have hollow cars, with some solid wood around the edges for rigidity. Cutting off .5 inch should be fine....
