I buy Ryobi because of the range of tools they have and also the never-ending sales. I always figured that if I wore out one of the drivers I'd just replace it with a new one from a Black Friday or other sale. That was a number of years ago and I haven't have to replace anything.
In fact, I just bought the $139 40v Ryobi weed whacker that allows attachments. I've used it to trim the 1/2 acre lawn and 200' path through the woods a half dozen times and the original battery charge is still about 1/2 full. I've attached my chain saw trimmer and it runs just fine. They have several 40v tools and are developing more. I can see the day when I'm completely out of gas and gas/oil outdoor tools.
