More importantly (since one can actually go get food rendering Instacart just an option) a tip is supposed to be voluntary. Technically, you're supposed to earn a tip. Basically go above and beyond. If they want to make this mandatory, they should call it something else, like a fee. No one should ever be "required" to pay a tip whether you promise it or not. You gotta earn that buck.
