This is the absolute perfect time for Apple to make the shift, riding in a COVID work-from-home high. The refined and revised form factors can handle basic Intel chip upgrades for the next 3 years or so (or even longer for the Mac Pro), and Catalina cleaned up all of the 32bit legacy code.

A new ARM MacBook based on the current iPad chips would be as good or better than the 2017 MacBook we own.

Love the idea of an option for 5G, one of the best example uses for 5G.
