D4,

If you're using the drive with a 2020 Mac Mini, you should be buying an NVME M.2 drive and either a USB 3.1 Gen 2 enclosure for it or OWC's new Thunderbolt enclosure for it. You should definitely go either of those routes if you're using it as a boot drive.
