One exactly like this is sitting in my drive:
2004 VW TDI Passat wagon. It has a bit over 100k miles, looks nearly new and runs like a champ. Yet it mostly sits because we have two PHEVs that are our daily drivers. The VW gets used for hauling or pulling a trailer. It gets 600 miles on a full tank and I haven’t needed to fuel it up in a couple of years.
