Who is to say he ever really had it?
There is political points to be made by saying you have it and then saying you are cured, no big deal. It furthers your arguement.
Would you believe Trump if he said he was infected, dropped from view for two weeks and then came back saying he took Trumps Magic Elixer and was cured? Doing so would bolster his claims about the pandemic being over dramatized. It would likely boost him in the polls as well.
