I think it depends on how well Biden is doing. If he's doing great, the Repugs will put up a "up next" sacrificial candidate. Think Bob Dole, Walter Mondale. If that's the Case, I would expect Pence to be nominee.

If the enomy is still in recovery mode, I expect another demagogue to come along!
