Time Machine is H G Wells - not Jules Verne
The older Verne was Wells' muse/inspiration in a myriad of ways, plus he's name-checked in the 1960, The Time Machine movie. The little "m" in the OP was meant to reflect the SF'y concept vs. Apple or Wells' capital "M" as a titled entity. If only the Chunnel had been around back in their time period, they coulda hung out together.

Snagging and using your own domain certainly is the most efficient way of maintaining long term control over all things ethernety email-wise. Going back to the pre-wifi, post AppleTalk era seemed like the next best option, but it's dependent on the aforementioned SF'y concept becoming a reality....
