This — the imminent tossing of vaccines —- is how many people first got jabbed back a few months ago when refreshing web pages and making phone calls wasn’t enough. It was more about hearing about how some place was like 30 minutes from now gonna toss a box in the trash or whatever. Back when the news had stories of health departments getting “creative” by jabbing people not yet on the Approved List and having the feds come in and confiscate supplies as a result. January-February was a very long time ago.
I was telling my 18 yr old he’s not on track to get vaccinated until December. He’s now a week away from his second shot and the nation is a week away from starting the beg the naysayers to get vaccinated.
I’m not saying everyone who wanted it has got it, but we are very rapidly getting to that point. Conservatives who have been crying since this time last year about the hardship now knowingly stand in the way of anything resembling herd immunity and normal life resuming with permanence. Embrace being in a hostage situation. You’re in it.
