One day before my second Moderna shot, I heard my wife at the door. She began ringing the bell - I assumed she was having trouble locating her keys again. I opened the door.
It was not my wife. It was a maskless woman who shouted one foot away from my face "OH! I'VE GOT THE WRONG HOUSE!" She meant to go next door, to the giant inside party full of maskless people. I'm in the deep South. What do you think the chances are any of them has had a single vaccination?
I'm not enjoying the vaccine side effects today. If I also get sick because of this person and have to deal with two weeks of symptoms worse than this, the next time I say "Hello" to my neighbors, it will be with a decidedly frosty tone.
